Objectives and Philosophy

The Fondazione Filantropica Danilo e Luca Fossati pursues public utility purposes in the field of social solidarity, with particular attention to childhood and adolescence in conditions of hardship. The Foundation operates on a non-profit basis and dedicates its resources to supporting concrete aid projects in developing countries, in Switzerland and in Italy.

Areas of activity

The Foundation operates in three main areas:

Education and training — Support for primary schools, after-school centers, vocational training institutes and scholarships for children and young people without means.

Healthcare — Contributions to hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centers operating in contexts of extreme poverty, with a focus on neonatology and child health.

Social hardship — Support for residential communities, family homes, reception centers and reintegration programs for minors and families in difficulty.
Support for organisations dedicated to the collection and distribution of food for the most needy families.

Intervention philosophy

The Foundation is convinced that every child deserves a serene childhood, a quality education and the opportunity to build a dignified future.

Collaboration

The Foundation works through local organisations already embedded in their communities, avoiding duplication and maximising the impact of contributions.

Continuity

Supported projects are monitored over time, with periodic checks on the use of funds and results achieved.

Criterion

The Foundation prioritises the effectiveness of aid over visibility, operating with confidentiality in respect of beneficiaries.
